Everyone wants to drive my evo...
hmm
All very good advice...Yeah I'm falling too much in love with my evo to have to worry about some jackass slamming it into a curb or guardrail or a parked car or worse. It takes a good deal of discipline to keep yourself from whippin every road in this thing...I'm just learning myself how to keep those feelings from taking control of my hands and feet...learnin' to save them for autocross where I can learn to drive fast in a safe way....i somehow doubt people who haven't waited so long to finally get the car will have that same appreciation and respect for the car's potential.
What Kayaalp said. If it isn't broken in yet, no f**kin way. Also, even if you let them take it for a spin after the break in, ride with them and DON'T let them launch the car! That way, when the clutch breaks or the x-fer case goes out on ya, you can only blame yourself.
Nothing wrong with letting friends (or Women) drive your Evo. It's all about your trust in them. If you don't trust them to treat your car right, don't let them drive. My ex girlfriend is the only person I've let drive my car. No problems.
Not to mention if they hit someone and hurt them or damage property and your name is on the title the injured party can sue you. I always use the sorry my insurance Co. does not cover any person not on the insurance policy.
I never let any of my friends drive it, to tell you the truth, i think some of them would purposely beat on it because they are jealous of it. If I was you though, I wouldn't let anyone drive it... I personally think it takes some nerve to be pushy about driving someone else's car. I never ask people if I can drive their cars.
depends on the person. a load of my friends wanted to drive mine...but I didnt let them. though I did let one of my friends older brother drive it,just because I respect him as a driver and I know he wont do anything stupid.
Even if she offers you head, DO NOT let them drive.
By the way, how the hell do you 19 year olds afford this car? More power to ya, I'm 28, and I feel like I'm 19 when I lay into the gas! It's like a big metal anti-aging device
Get your friends pre-approved for a $30,000 loan on www.eloan.com. That way they can write the check out to you on the spot.
bro i've made the mistake of letting this one particular person drive my car. Long story short, we agreed that we would let each other drive our cars (my evo and his 04' cobra). Well the guy goes phucking bazeerk in my car.... does 7 shattty starts, takes my car 50mph through a windy single lane back road, and gets pulled over in there bc we were on private property. He got lucky when the officer told him to slow it down.... I cussed him out, and cooled off a day later. I asked him when i would be able to drive his car... but now he's all pussied out and now he thinks if i drive his car im gonna screw it up on purpose... here's a quote "im not gonna let you drive my car because i know ur gonna try to screw it up for what i did to ur car".
Here's a pre-scenario, we did a few roll starts in our cars and starts... and well i will admit his car is a beast on straight aways. Well we did that about 4 times, and only once did i grind my gears. (note: i've had some issues grinding my gears). Well days after i let him drive my car and go crazy with it, he talks shat behind my back saying "he doesn't know how to drive and handle his car, when i drove it, it was perfectly fine". So i cuss him out again but he doesn't admit to talking shiet.... BTW the idiot tried double clutching when he was driving the car and ended up grinding my 4th gear. He also burnt my clutch trying to do a few launches and shiet.... wow im close to beating his ****ing face in!!!
SO MY POINT IS:::: only let people who will 1. respect ur car 2. know how to drive 3.respect you.... DRIVE YOUR CAR.... NO NO NO, ***** THAT, DON"T LET ANYONE DRIVE UR CAR!@!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's only a car. It is not like letting your buddy bang your girlfriend or wife. I let everybody that wants to drive my car do it. My friends respect me and if they start to beat on my car the test drive is over. However, with the added power and twin-disc clutch I am a little more apprehensive but if the area is uncongested and they have twin-disc experience I don't really mined. Hell I beat on this car harder than anybody that goes for a simple test drive that usually only rev it to 6k rpms due to the fact it is already going unconfortably fast for their taste.
