why the difference in dyno numbers????

ok i know how dynos work and know what they do but im not too familiar with the internals. all know is that on different dynos stock evos have put from 187-240 to the wheels. some dude just posted with similar mods to mine, minus the boost control, and pulled only 228 and the wheels. i was hoping for at least 310 but i guess i have to get on a good dyno to get that or else ill pull like 240 haha. when i do finally get on one ill either be very happy or crying. why the difference in numbers????
