Wheel Spin

Can you do an ALL wheel Spin at the stop? IS that possible with this car?

I'm thinking not, but I heard it from different people, mag, that you could actually do this...

If you can, How is it done? I know how to do one on 2WD but I'm clueless on 4 WD.

I know it's gonna get the clutch, don't know about tranny, since the clutch goes first to save its family.

I saw that sick Black Golf GTI VR6 TT in Europe doing one and I was wondering.

My clutch may need replacing anyway, mind as well blow it out in glorious 4 wheel spin before I replace it. lol.

Just kidding.

I did it on a slightly dusty road... not on purpose, I was showing off my Dynoflash to a Z06 driver/friend and did a drop @ 6000rpms. 4 wheels spun for about 1/2 second, then caught and launched like the freaking space shuttle! I'm never going to do it again, but it was pretty cool, especially with a V8 guy in the car.

I think that most people who brag on this site about having done awd burnouts are usually the same people who ask about how much it costs to replace transfer cases.....

With my advans almost bald i can do it easily from a roll and not even burn the clutch. But like SC said it takes a hard beating on the transfer case and tranny. When I HAVE done it does not sound to good.

That isn't a VR6, it's a good old fashioned Audi 2.1L inline 5 cylinder turbo. Best motor VW/Audi ever built, period.

I think the last count was 1200 horsepower and rising?
