Rear Spoiler Modification

Whilst reading the Road America Journal entries on the Vishnu Tuning website, i came across the part where, Paul ad's a strip of angled alluminum to the back of his spoiler deck to give him proper downforce. Im really anxious to try this, has anyone attempted it yet? thoughts on doing this?

It's a gurney flap or wickerbill the terms mean pretty much the same thing. Really all you need is a small piece of 90 degree extruded alumn. It doesn't need to be all that tall. I would say a half inch max. anything over that and your just making drag.

That is a good idea to do it if you are road racing all the time. For sheer speed, I would avoid this. More downforce means slower traps in the quarter. So it depends what you are looking for.
