need help, evo wont start!
first, let me say this is an evo V gsr. not a USDM evo. please read and see if you have any ideas to help me get this thing started again. thanks
my car was in a little fender bender and since then, I parked it for a while. It sat for a few months and now it wont start. seems like car is getting no spark or fuel. I've tried replacing ecu and still no spark or fuel. I've checked relays and fuses and they seem ok. I know for a fact that there is no power going to the main fuel pump relay. I tried putting direct power to the fuel pump and it works. any ideas? so here is what I got:
- no spark
- no fuel
- relays ok
- fuses ok
- fuel pump works.
- replaced ecu
- ecu gets power
- main fuel relay gets no power
- plugs and coils replaced with brand new
- fresh new gas added
a bad crank sensor could give no spark, but wouldn't explain the fuel. am I missing a fuse somewhere? or maybe a relay somewhere? I'm thinking it's a bad wire or something electrical related. please help!

This will be moved to Enigine/Turbo/Drivetrain when a General Mod sees it. FYI
Now to help. First thing is the fuel pump has a relay and there is also the MFI relay. When you turn the key on I am guessing the fuel pump does not run for 2 seconds?
Things that come to mind with the information you have supplied are:
What type of fender bender, how bad? (potential wiring harness damage in fender)
How long did it sit for? (small animals like to make nests and chew wires, seen that alot in colder weather)
You are missing a major power source which means a blown fusible link is possible also. You need to inspect the wiring harness in the area of the accident damage and around the underhood junction box and around the battery and alternator.

the accident was not too bad. I hopped a curb and hit a fence. so it was just cosmetic. the car sat around for 4 months. so it sat for quite some time.
when I turn the key, the fuel pump does not cut on at all.
I do think it sounds like a wiring problem. I tried another ecu and it doesn't work. so it seems that the possibility of 2 ecus acting the same way is not probable. sound like wiring to you?

Without a doubt I think it is wiring. Like I said previously you are missing an important power source, probably under the hood. A fusible link could have blown some where in the harness, which most are usually near the battery. I think you should start by looking at the wiring in and around the battery and underhood junction box. From there I would find the fuel pump relay and check for power at it.
It is possible the ignition switch has a problem because it is one common element to bot the fuel and spark. Even though it does crank the car over doesn't mean that it is good.

I'm no expert, but I remember reading something that if the pwr was disconnected for a long enough period of time, the anti theft chip in the key would lose pairing with the ECATS (maybe) or whatever part of the electronics that controls this.
Do the remotes still unlock the doors ?
Dunno, maybe way off base here, may have been a different vehicle, but something to check into.

I drove car away from accident. drove it onto a flat bed. car started months later.
I drove the car (4 months later) to see how bad my alignment was off and car sputtered in higher RPMs. I thought this was bad coil pack or something related to spark.
next day, I warmed her up and reved her a few times to see if there would be any sputtering or inconsistencies throughout rev range. maybe after 4th rev, car died. so it died when giving fuel
