short shifter

I have been reading this forum about the problem with gear that evo has. I am ordering my 04 White Evo which it should be here in 3 months. so i am wonder if it worth to order short shifter in advance before the car came or just wait and feel how the gear shift? (i am thinking about the one that lancer shop offer, the short shifter package) is there any better short shifter than the one that lancershop offer out there?

I got a kartboy short shofter, it reduced my shift throws over stock around 20% and shorten the height about 10mm.

Dude it's not about the throw in the shift lever, it's about the **** **** syncros that mitsu north packed the gear box with. A new shift fulcrum point won't help, it will just enable you to grind gears quicker than stock. Cancel your order, and wait till the EVO MR comes out. They fixed the terrible problems that the US evo 8 came with, except maybey the clutch.

IMO the short shifter I put in (B&M, non-adjustable) really didn't help much if at all. The shiftmount 8 piece brass bushing kit did help the feel for sure though. I still have to install the 2 piece underhood kit, from my reading this also helps.

I did/am doing this in an attempt to recreate the fantastic shift feel I had in my S2000.
