Problems with my Evo since July 3, 2003

Good Morning All,

This is just a post for me to share with you the problems I've had with my car. I just want to see if you have been having similiar experiences:

- Taken in for hydralic brake solenoid
- Taken in for brakes shaking at his speeds
- Taken in for weather stripping replacement
- Taken in for brakes shaking again
- Taken in for rusting paint on inside side sills (still pending warrenty)
- Taken in for brakes AGAIN
- Taken in for strange transmission sound (not drivetrain noise)
- Taken in for random check engine light
- Taken in for 5th gear syncro

All this and I only have 13k. WTF is going on with my car!!!! ( I never had any of these problems with my ITR).

I'd call it a lemon

I have not had any problems with mine and I don't baby it either. (Knock on wood)

Was it all covered by warranty?

Yeah everything was covered under warrenty EXCEPT some of the rust spots. The dealers trying to say that I could have been cutting something near the car and metal fillings got caught in the in weather stripping causing the paint to rust. Funny this is I never cut anything on or near the car. I'm having my case reviewed for the Corporate office as we speak!!!

you know you also have to break into your brakes.

that could be the issue here.

Nooo really

I though you could just change the pads and do a coulpe of 100-0 stops to get them nice and ready

Of coarse I knew that. I didn't break hard for 1000 miles when I first got the car.

If you did some hard braking when you first got the car, or even slightly hard braking, then you could have also warped your rotars. Might wanna check on those also.

Check engine light? that isnt enough info to know your car is malfunctioning.. did you have find out what code it is? what mod do you have?

No problem here so far. On the rust issue, its because of the weather maybe. On the brakes, I think your rotor is already warp.
