Avengers share a lot of parts with 2G DSMs though. The interiors are the exact same, and both were available with the 420A neon powerplant. You can also swap the front end of a Talon onto an Avenger, I have seen it.

 

It says that in Japan/Asia it would be marketed under the Mitsu name...

Daimler Chrysler *declined* to invest more money in Mitsubishi. fortunately for Mitsu, the Japanese banks have stepped in yet again.

they would've been gone long ago if it weren't for their semi-nationalized corporate nature. same for nissan before the Ghosn era; US companies disappear when their books look like that, or are sold to competitors.

so in short, no way do I forsee a 2 dr evo coming. why??? it'll be a four seater no matter what. who cares if there are 4 doors.

 

thats enough to make someone depressed.... lets just hope the evo stays the exact same.. and that dodge is cool about aftermarket parts like they are witht he srt4

 

you know what this means? Stop saving for my evo and start saving for a Skyline.....

 

seriously... if the next gen mitsus start looking like the next gen Dodges, this will definitely (as opposed to probably) the last Mitsu I'll ever own.

Ok I live in canada and we have hella dodge neons they are every where. Another 2 cars similar are the sebring chasis and the new 2000+ eclipse. Dodge and mitsu are very twined together. I am still not happy about this new deal I was much happier when mitsubishi and dodge stopped sharing the same cars with different names. Why must we go back lets move forward and improve the evolution mr further not rebuild the neon. GROSS!!

 

Who cares... There will be alot more cars coming out in the future. I can't wait until they unleash the R35 and the new RX-7. Maybe toyota will step up to the challenge and bring back the legendary Supra. As for the EVO, we'll see what Mitsu will do next. They haven't been doing great now, but who knows what will happen in a couple of years.

 

I already saw an article saying that a TRD is working on the ground work for redesigning and putting the supra back into production. What do you mean who cares? Mitsubishi should drop this dodge tag team and work to re-do the eclipse and try to restore it to what is was when it was the GSX. What is this new eclipse with the loss of WHP and gain in curb weight. I loved the GSX and it will always be one of my favorite cars.

 

Incorrect. They are -thinking- about selling their Mitsu stock. But they have confirmed that they will certainly not be buying any more Mistu stock.
