Will Mitsu go under w/o Dia/Chrysler?
Will Mitsu go under w/o Dia/Chrysler?
I am in the market this fall for an EVO. But with Dialmer/Chrsyler move to pull out of Mitsu I am a little concerned that Mitsu might not make it. Their stock dropped by 50% the week of the announced pull out. Granted it went from 3.00 to 1.50....But is anyone else concerned about this?
I don't want to drop EVO money down to then have Mitsu go under and not be able to get warrenty/support....
Or am I just being too cautious about this whole thing?
Thanks in advance

Mitsubishi is not solely comprised of Mitsubishi Motors. Mitsubishi is one of the oldest and largest companies in Japan. Worst case, if the Japanese gov't doesn't continue to bail them out, I don't see the parent company killing their automotive unit.
Subaru is a brand of Fuji Heavy Industries. Also gigantic.
Hyundai Motors is a brand of Hyundai. Hyundai is about the size of Mitsubishi, and I believe is the largest company in S. Korea by a longshot.
These companies aren't going away for a looooooong time.
