The first thing I did to my '03 Evo was replace the mirror. The top of the line Gentex mirror has all the bells and whistles. Auto-dimming, outside temp, home-link, compass and even a lamp. Cost me $400 + $75 for install. Worth every penny.

$475 for a rearview mirror that's useless?! Man, you must have money flowing all over the place. hahahaha.

I have a compass on my radar detector. Homelink was what I'm interested. I wonder if you could just take one from another factory one and use that.

Someone find out.

ok, i've found something. I think this is what everyone has that comes from the factory.

I think you could take one from one of these cars.

I have never seen Homelink on an OEM mirror. Only as buttons on the driver's sun visor - and that was not just in a Mitsubishi. Compass, temp and Onstar are the only things I've seen on a OEM rearview mirror.

damn, you do have to get this for the aftermarket if you want homelink.

Yeah, BMW has garage control on the mirror BTW

When you get used to a feature on a car and it's no longer there, it bothers you. Auto-dimming mirror with home-link is NOT useless, not to me anyway. I would have paid a lot more if I had to. It's something I just had to have. The mirror is virtually identical to the one I have in my Fx-45 minus the temp gauge, meaning, the oem mirror does have the home-link built in.

I got mine installed at Sound Effects in Paramus. They did a great job! I bought the mirror online though. If you're interested in an alarm, they do quality install on that too. With remote trunk release.
