Auto Financing Excludes Mitsu

Found this interesting and thought i would post it. My wife received a pre-approved auto loan in the mail today from Capital One. Here is what it said in the fine print at the bottom:

Offer is valid for all models (1999 and newer) excluding Kia, Suzuki, Oldsmobile, Mitsubishi, Daewoo and discontinued vehicle lines.

uh oh. if financial institutions start pulling support in what they might consider "risk" (Mitsu) things could get really bad.

i work for capital one auto finance....the risk that they may see is with potential buyer and not the company itself...save for daewoo who is no longer in existence....they have been trying to shift up market...customers with better credit scores.....if the analyst have determined that these brands bring a more significant risk of loss then they may shy away....just a thought....i don't work for marketing and analysis so i am just speaking from knowing what they normally look for.....**this is not a statement on how capital one does business or determines who or what to finance...just speculation**

Less black people, cmon you know how big business works.

::edit:: The views expressed in this post are not those of the author but rather a tongue-in-cheek social commentary with a sliver of truth buried in there.

That's some good company. Two defuncts and two bottom-barrel manufacturers. Go Mitsu!

good point. daewoo exists under GM though. Got bought out.

Like mitsubishi, Daewoo's a big corporation that produces not only cars but a lot more things...
