So when's the EVO gonna be available. Jan. or March??
So the dealers dont get any info about the cars at all, in any way shape or form until January fifth??? How does that effect the people that have deposits down, if they were hypothetically going to begin selling these cars at the end of january... and the dealers know nothing about the cars untill the beginning of that month... and lets say that there are various option packages... are the cars all going to be produced before the dealers know what they are getting and hence there will be no choice as to what dealer gets what car??? Is nobody going to have the chance to pick the color or trim of their car that they already have money down on???
The dealers will get some information as it becomes available. For example, we know that mits has told the dealers approx when they will come, how many they expect to sell. Some basic car specs. But all of this is basic and subject to change as they approach the ship date. Like I said, dealers know as much as we do. Mits won't tell them anything they don't want us or the press to know yet. Plus manufactures make changes to all this right up to ship time. I wouldn't be surprised if Mits doesn't know yet the exact Horse Power they plan to publish. A few months before they arrive, the Manufacturer will start to plan its allocation. By now I am sure
has figured out what colors and option packages they will make available. And soon the dealers will be asked to place their orders based on what that dealers allocation will be. Hopefully they will order what you have asked for and put money down on. But fact is, some things change right up to the last minute.

Thanks, thats good to know, the dealer that I have my deposit down at isn't sure if they are just going to be sent a few cars, or if they are going to have the chance to take orders from the customers. I hope that we get the chance to specify trims. I know that this has been asked about a thousand times before, so one more time shouldn't hurt anyone, why is Mitsubishi being so reluctant not to release any technical information??? Is it because they just dont know the final details, or do they not want to take the focus off their current Lancer sales???
watch your mouth
maybe if you stop using the word "he**" God will let you know
the answer of your question faster
btw i've heard they gonna bebut the car in paris auto show in jan
so should be soon after that, my guess is early to mid feb dealer through out the state should have the car by then.

and because
Subaru hasn't stated their final details yet.
If MMC/Ralliart states "The U.S. will get a 270hp Lancer Evo", then Subaru will state a week later "The U.S. will get a 275hp WRX STi". MMC cannot then turn around and say that the Lancer Evolution will get 276hp - it will appear then that they were purposely de-tuning the car for nefarious reasons. Public and press will ask them how much power it could really ship with, and why are they not shipping it with that power. Confidence will fall, and debate will cloud their all-important launch.
It's all a public-relations war.
Cheers,
Paul Hansen
Since several people in this thread seem to have forgotten that there are other threads with info, read this (it is the most current and maybe most reliable info yet):

I have a question.
What about the number of production of EVO in North America?
YOu said on the other thread there are around 4000 of those coming...
Does it mean 4000 for US? or 4000 in all North America?

Has anyone been calling their dealerships for info on the car? I have been calling dealerships all over CA and they all say that they will have the car in their showrooms in Jan. for sale, but they say that Mitsu had not given them any specs. Also I call Mitsu corporate headquarters all the time and they are still saying Jan. You would think that if the car was not going to be in showrooms until Late Feb. or early Mar. Mitsubishi would tell their dealerships so that their customers wouldn't get pissed off.
Also i believe that some people on this forum are people from Mitsu or subaru trying to tell us false info.!!!!.........lol.......j/k??
