There is supposed to have a hatchback based on Lancer as a replacement of Mirage coupe coming next year. If its 5-door, its supposed to be against Protege5, Elantra GT and Matrix.

What is gonna called? Lancer GT or rename?

 

It will be called the wife's car.

 

 

Unless they change the engine they won't have the power to compete with the other cars mentioned.

It's going to be called the Lancer Sportback. It will have a 2.4 liter engine and it's actually a wagon not a hatchback. Check out my post where I uploaded a picture of the Japan version of it. The US version like all the 04 Lancers will have headlights that look similiar to the ones on the Ford Focus and a Pontiac looking front bumper and grille.

 

ughh if they make a lancer hatchback, im guna sell my lancer cuz a hatchback is a discrace to the lancer name. mitsubishi should be smacked in the face for this idea
