Mitsu voiding warranties in Car and Driver Mag

Anyone see the new issue of Car and Driver magazine. The problems with mitsu voiding the warranties actually made it in there. That suprised me. I'm sure that their pretty pissed about that. Although I think part of it was BS. One guy claims that he was at some SCCA event and blew two connecting rods and the dealership wouldn't honor it. I don't think that it's possible to snap to forged connecting rods without some serious abuse (25psi+ on stock fuel setup).

Is each article popping up in each big magazine publication worth about $1500 per year of additinal depreciation to the Evo? more?

Once again, I think they should sell the car at discount without warranty, that will solve problems on both ends....

I could go into my thought process, but I have on countless other threads. Just a thought....

It sounds wonderful, but I have a feeling the economics wouldn't work. Its like insurance, millions of people have it and never have to use it, but the money goes towards those that do. I have a feeling that for it to work the price of cars sold with warranty would actually have to go up.

I agree and this why they are close to going out of business. The irony is that despise of all the yelling and cursing people keeps on buying them
