Scheduled Maintenance free for '04?

I thought Evo's were exlcuded from this..but this is what it says on the MM website:

Free Scheduled Maintenance Program:

Purchase or lease any new 2004 or 2004.5 vehicle by August 31, 2004, and free scheduled maintenance for 3 years or 45,000 miles, whichever comes first, is included.

Certain items such as gasoline, tires, etc. are specifically excluded. A participating Mitsubishi Motors Retailer must perform all work.

It does not have an asterisk for exclusion...

Yes, free scheduled maintnance. But the thing is... is its only free every 7,000 miles for the oil changes, or something obserd like that. Me and the dealer went through this. I just recently bought a '04 Evo last week and I got it.

On my 04 RS, dealer's mechanic stated 7.5k interval maintenance was included which is pretty much inspection of engine wear. And that oil change was excluded from this!

Who cares! I would'nt let them change my oil anyways!

This plan is a joke!

do NOT let the dealer touch the car unless there is something wrong with it. Do it yourself and know it's been done right... and with some care.
