Car feels like its choking at start... at when let off throttle
I just had a tune up done, timing, all fluids changed. (just got the car so no frame of refference)
Car feels like its boggin or choking in 2 instances...
Helix single plate clutch, light mods (tomei ecu, poncam, fuel pump/regulator, exhaust/downpipe/decat ...)
1)When Im starting the car from still position, on a steep slope and sometimes small one, it feels like it's underwater for a a few seconds before it gets going. guy who sold me the car says its better with the a/c off which is somewhat true. Friend with evo 6 says thats how AWD is. What you guys think?
2)Also when in 2nd/3rd gear especially when revin higher (above 5K), if i ease off the throttle from full gas (reiterate, not let off, just ease), feels like the car is stuttering ... its just not smooth. It is a bit like people first learning clutch, and the car stutters/stumbles, kind of lunges like its heaving in first gear cos theres not enough gas yet the clutch is released. I'm wondering if this is how the car drives normally, if I need to let off the throttle at a slower rate as stuttering not smooth like this entering a corner can be bad.
Any ideas? THNX

Geez, I have felt many things in the past when driving cars but I am in Florida so there are no hills for me to worry about.
If the car is bogging at low rpms on a hill, it sounds like you need to give it more gas and feather the clutch out. If I am idling, sometimes when I put in gear and not give it enough gas it will studder and bog until the rpms build, but thats normal.
The stuttering could be a number of things. Are all the hoses to the intake and intercooler and BOV firmly attached? Is the BOV leaking? I dont know if the BOV would solve anything if you are decelerating.
Maybe you just need a retune.
Good luck.
