Whats steps to take drivng at the track...
1. Do you throw it into the red when shiffting? What rpms?
2. How do you launch? i.e. flutter it or hold it? At what rpm's?
3. How to shift, taking the foot all the way off gas when shiffting? Or half way? Or not at all.
4. Best off all when to know to shift...........
These are some questions I would like to have answered by as many people as poss. So thanks to all.

Do you mean drag racing, circuit driving, or autocross?
In any case, if your evo is stock you should shift around 6,500-6,750, because above that you aren't making much power and you'll be above where you want to be to hit your torque curve in the next gear. How to launch has been covered many times over in here, and it basically boils down to how much you like your car, clutch, and transfer case. When shifting, I wouldn't worry so much about your gas pedal, but more your clutch. Stomp it through the floorboard before you shift or you will grind for sure. I see those honda kids flat foot shifting for that extra 1/10th. I wouldn't do it, because the EVO synchros are too finicky at normal rpm, let alone at sky high rpm.
The most important thing to remember is, your car isn't exactly a dragster, or at least that's not what it was made to be. Drag race at your own peril. Open track days and autocross is where the EVO is really in its element.
