Angry 3rd incident with my Evo in 2 months...what would you do?

After having my Evo back for less than 2 weeks from that 17 year old kid that rear ended me in a Ranger, some other idiot backed into my Evo while parked in a parking garage. So within the last two months, I've had front end damage from a run in with a racoon running in front of me on a highway in the middle of the night and just been hit in the rear for a 2nd time. Once rear-ended while stopped waiting to merge onto traffic. Now, backed into my rear while parked in a parking garage. Fortunantely for me the guy that backed into me had the decency to leave me his information. *Sigh* Bout with State Farm round two (Coincedence, kid in the ranger was with State Farm as well). I got a monkey on my shoulder...what will happen to me in the Evo next? I am seriously thinking about selling the Evo now. What would you do in my shoes?

man that's some bad luck. Well if you truly want to sell it then go for it. Or get another evo? Some cars are attracted to accidents... like my bro's previous rsx. He got in 3 wrecks, not his fault on all three but the weird thing was it only happened right after he put an aftermarket part on it. A type r spoiler, accident the next day, C.A.I. accident in 2 days...well best of luck in deciding

I wouldn't bother trying to trade it in.. if they look up the info on the car and see that it was in 2+ accidents its a pretty good bet that they would offer you next to nothing for the trade in because of them wanting to say it isn't as safe or whatever because there was repairs made to it.... remember... mitsu is out to screw any mitsu owner out of whatever they can!

See if you use the accident money towards aftermarket upgrades while repairing the car. Like if your fmic is damaged, replace it w/ a bigger aftermarket one. If your taillights are busted, replace them w/ EVO 7's or MR's.

sounds like a bad luck streek could try getting a bright paint job so people see you better Trading for an STi wont really make a difference nor will getting an MR and you will get raped for trade in value so unless you got money to burn I wouldn't go with those options. for the money you save on trading the car in you could either get bright paint job or you could get a loud sound system which also helps people notice you... or just forget about being noticed with that and go for performance mods or just keep things the way they are its up to you but trading the car in I doubt will do any good at all unless you get something huge.

I know I'd get taken to the cleaners either selling it privately with carfax reports or trading it in. It's not a matter of being more visable on the road, driving a safer vechicle, etc. It's a matter of do I feel comfortable in my own car. Pyschologically it's like my car has a big flashing neon sign, "HIT ME!" A different car regardless of another Evo or not would be like a clean slate. This could be an expensive dilemna!

Wow thats really crazy what you have been through if I were you I would just have the car repaired and go on your way. Its already been in two accidents already so that means the price of the car goes down. Just take it easy and be defensive on the road because there are a lot of stupid people who aren't.

You'll probably get screwed on trade in, you could try selling it to a private owner, but if they carfax it, your screwed there too. I say keep it, **** happens, just clean it off your shoe, and keep walking.

You should've cut the racoons foot off. It's twice the size of a rabbit so it has to be twice as much luck, right? That would've warded off the other accidents. LOL

I feel for you man but trading your car in won't change your luck. Just go with the flow and watch for idiots.

I'm sorry but that is a little silly. I could see if you said that you don't want a car anymore that has been in a few accidents due to safety or whatever. But to say that your odds of getting into a future accident are somehow effected by a few fender benders in the past is ridiculous. Get over your superstitions and enjoy your car. Or you could just look at it like this: Your car has been is 3 accidents already so odds are you won't have another one.
