Would you, do you, VALET your EVO???

I am a Manager of a rather large Valet company and I wanted to get opinions of EVO owners.

Do you Valet, or would you if the opportunity presented itself?

In the 8 years of providing the best possible Customer Service in this industry, I've driven everything. But, when the EVO came out, mine was the only one I saw for a LONG time.

To date, I've seen several, (and I know most of them), but I have only parked two complete strangers since the EVO came out.

Comments, suggestions, stories, please!!!!!!!

If you throw a $10 up front, you probable won't. The Valet prob thinks youre gonna throw another $10 when you leave, meaning your car sould be up front. (IE. moved all of 5 feet)

I've seen it and done it myself. But only with another company. I trust my crew.

I have been a valet, and valeted (is that a word?) a few Evos, including a J-Spec RHD Evo VI TME. I let all of them know I would keep their very precious cars up front and that I would park them myself (people love feeling special). When I worked my lot here in Los Angeles, I had ZERO accidents, no stealing, and ran a very tight ship (was the lot manager). I will say, as long as you throw some money up front (a five or a ten), the Evo should be fine. That being said, when I get my '05 Evo, I will most certainly have my XEDE set on valet mode. There are plenty of shady valets out there (especially here in LA), so use your intuition. I always suggested to the people who had problems valeting that they talk to the management, and the management would tell the customers that they never had any problems with our valets or the company.

If I had the ability to change my map to a "valet" map which means no boost, and timing retard at 3k RPM... then sure... otherwise...

NO WAY IN HISBOLLAH!!!

I will try to avoid valet parking my EVO. I know several valet parkers and it is just wrong what I have witnesed them do to other peoples cars. I am sure there valets that do a good job but I just dont trust anybody with my car.

Absolutely not. Don't let some stupid kid drive your car. I have heard horror stories on other boards.

I think it depends on where the valet is....if its in the city with parking garages, they will park it for you i wouldn't mind, but at like resturants or...malls or wahnot.....sometimes its hard to give those teenager ur keyss......sh*t if i was 18....someone gave me keys to an evo or a 911 turbo....of course imma take it around the block at least ONCe!!
