Autocross Class Question

Hey guys, I am planning on doing some mods to the evo and wanted to know what, if any affect they would have on my current auto x class.

Presently, I run in ESP. I'm getting a turboback exhaust and getting the car reflashed, which are both allowable mods. The one I'm questioning is getting new cams. I read through the SCCA rulebook, but couldn't find anything that explicitly said replacing cams was illegal in Street Prepared. It did state that I could overbore the engine, so I'm taking it that replacing cams should be ok, as it's not as significant a modification as overboring.

Anyone know for sure?

Thanks for your help.

With boost controller, and engine internalls, you will have to run street unlemitied. Check out my mods, minus the boost controller and the cam gears puts me in ESP !

To stay in ESP, you can't touch the boost control, the reflash is very questionable, and the cams? no way...

All those mods will be good for Street Mod.

Thanks for the info. Sucks I can't put new cams in. They're a cheap way of adding power. The problem with street mod is it allows a lot of other mods which I would never consider doing to my car, but which drastically improve performance. Oh well...
