Boost Gauge question
I have an Autometer Ultralight Boost Gauge and there is a brass fitting with threads on the back of the guage where the VAC line goes. I can get the vac line to stretch over the fitting and stay solid, but I am not sure if that is way everyone would recommend. Anyone else have another way? I wasn't sure if there was a specific fitting I could purchase that would allow for the vac line to slide on like the "T" connector uses.

Take that little bag of fittings and a sample of your vacu line with you to the hardware store. Use your fittings to piece together their fittings until you get the right look and feel.
Also pick up some zip ties. You will want to put one on the fitting at the base (shown in your pic 1) make it tight.
Once you put all this pieces together, hopefully it will fit in the gauge cup or pod that you have to support it. If not, switch the piece around til it works.
I went to three stores to get everything.
BTW: if it leaks, re-chech the pipe thread. You will hear it leaking. Proper function = no noise.

There should have been an additional fitting that screws over the threads. That will allow you to use the silicone line provided
put the silicone line through the hole and the cap that fits over your threaded part pictured
Slip the brass ring over the silicone line
then screw the the cap, with line inserted, over your pictured threaded part
Voila, you done!!

I should have clarified. This gauge was bought used and what you see is what I got. There is a little brass sleeve that screws onto the threads, but it has a hole for the nylon tubing that didn't come with the gauge.

Yeah, that will work, but like a straw, once that line is crimped, it WILL leak.
Throw it away, buy 6 feet of vacume line for cheap, use all brass fittings and nipple for the new line.
Besides, their piece is to short for a stealth run under the dash, thru the firewall and to the vac source.
My advice, use REAL vac line and make it work.
You can do it, its easy.

My fittings are 1)the one you have 2) the one female/female 3) a tapered nipple that fits my vac line.
Get pipe tape too...the same stuff you use for water pipes (silicone tape)
