Injen intercooler installed

well after aroud an hour and a half, a million mosquito bites it s done. i just love it, i don't know if it is just me but the car idle different and sound different too. i took it for a drive after and i could feel the difference, the engine feels like it is not working hard to pick up speed, you punch it and zoom- zoom. the only thing is i have the mbc set at 21 psi but i saw 25 on the gauge. is this normal? anyways enjoy the pics.

no fitment issues whatsoever, fits in like a glove, i didn't even remove the crush bar, and i didn't use a lift or ramps. the pipe to the turbo was hard to get to but overall easy install that anybody can do.

Yea that really does look good, you can see it is slighty larger then the stock intercooler. The finish is great, after seeing it on yours, I may have to buy it as well.

Questions: How hard was it to get your front bumper off? Again how much did you pay?

IS there a dyno prove or any kind of hp rating for this IC? It looks no better than the greddy v type. The V type is much cheaper.

it is easy but it takes time, you have something like 40 of those plastic screws holding the undertrays, once they are off it is a peice of cake. the price was 960 $, not cheap but i am happy.

beleive me they are not the same. extreme psi ordered it for me, but it was taking too long for injen to send it ( i think this is the first one to come out of production) and i have a tuning session with shiv from vishnu this saturday. the guys at extreme psi had a greddy v type they said they'll hold it for me if the injen does not come on time before the tuning ( by the way exterme psi,i love those guys, best service ever.). so i had a chance to take a look at both, there is no similarities, the end tank design are totally different, if you don't beleive me here is a pic of both:

now, performance wise, the car definitely feels different, this saturday i am going to know for sure when shiv tunes the car.

I'm also considering the Injen Intake and Upper Intercooler pipe combo.

Does it bolt up to the Greddy Spec V EVO Intercooler?

Thanks

ia m not sure, but it should. like the injen intercooler i had to cut a little of the plastic hose that connect the ic to to pipe. right here in the picture:

that should do the trick.

Looks good. And its good to hear it fits w/ no problems. Something to think about.

Have you had any previous dyno pulls before the intercooler? Let us know what comes of Sat.

Did you turn down the boost from 25 back to 21 and still notice a difference?

it fits like a glove, didn't even take the crush bar.
yes, the car made 280 whp at turbotrix. at the time i had cat back, downpipe, intake and a boost controller tuned with a safc on the stock cat converter. now i added cams 264/272, cam gears, I/C, type s bov, head studs, 650 injectors and fuel pump, helix high-flow cat. it is going to be tuned with a xede. i ll let you know how the cars does tomorrow.

the boost is set at 21 psi, my first test drive the boost spiked at 25 psi. i don't know but i think the ecu is adjusting to I/C or something and yes the turbo spools faster and it just keeps pulling all the way up to red line.

yes, no change , the sprayer still works.
