I got a Autometer z-series boost/vacum gauge and had the same problem..so I tested it against some other boost gauges and was 3-4 psi lower than the others...so I just took it back and got another 1 and is now within .5 psi to the others.
Now it reads between 18-19 psi full boost.

does it peak to 15 or peak higher and fall down to 15?

lanevo9 Jun 8, 2006 01:12 PM

it peak 15 at around 3500, and 14 around 5000-6000

Again look at what you just said. You put an aftermarket BOV on and prolly didnt recirc it. When you do this the evo loses boost because the BOV "leaks" it out. The way our cars are setup its not a good idea to put a aftermarket BOV on. The stock 1g BOV is the best one. If you are going to buy any BOV it shoudl be that one.

I suggest putting the stock one back on and then see what happens
