New EVO's at cost?

Hi guys, I'm new to EVO's and am thinking about purchasing one. I live in central Jersey and my friend told me that Freehold Mitsubishi was selling EVO's at cost. Has anyone heard anything about this? He said that they brought out the invoice and everything.

I'm seriously thinking about getting one whether this deal is legit or not.

Thanks guys

I seriously would... but damn, I'm saving up for an Evo too. Hopefully there is still going to be some decent ones lying around by the time I get enough money. 13,200 dollars is what I have right now. Been saving up like crazy since last year. I'll be getting one maybe when the X comes out, just because everyone is going to go wild over it, forgetting about the IX, making it CHEAPER. Yes! If I still don't have enough money, I'll have my Dad go get a 7,000 dollar loan or something. I'd do it myself, but I'd be too young.

If you don't mind driving...Marina Mitsubishi in Ontario, NY is currently offering some amazing deals for we folks here on the East Coast. Picked up a IX MR SE for 33,800 out the door. Good bunch of guys out there, if you search them and call make sure to ask for Joe Ayrault and tell him Justin from Langan Porsche told you to call ;)

Sorry to tell you but the dealer paid more like $25,300 for the RS. Friend of mine got the employee pricing on a RS this past summer which was "at cost" and that's what he paid.

Heck I only paid $28,599 for my 06 Evo IX GSR in Feb of 06.

This is the one on Route 9. I live close by there and have been there to purchase an Evo and an S2000. Neither went through. Why? There are some dirty, shady tactics there. Watch out. I met a couple of nice salesmen, but the managers are pushy jerks.

Employee pricing isn't "at cost", it's under. Mitsu corp refunds some of the money the dealer paid to get the car. The only profit that the dealer makes on a VIP/Employee priced car is the holdback (typically 2% of MSRP).

Yeah, freehold has never had a huge supply and always marked up when I went in there. Global on Rt22 is where I got mine. They charged me sticker and I got the first silver one they had (back in the day), which at the time was pretty good deal). They might be letting them go for cost, if they have too many.

I just got my EVO 9 from Freehold. It was a 2 week negotiation. I bought the car for $30, 200 which I thought was a good deal.

Try the Dealer in Sayerville. All star Mitsubishi! I pass by them alot going to work and I saw that they brought in more evos! I think they have about 8 or 9 right in the front.
