skochur Apr 12, 2009 09:48 AM

KenMasters Apr 12, 2009 09:49 AM

Ease up on the guy. He could have lost his life and already put others life in danger as well.

100mph is pretty fast, but 100mph can come up pretty fast especially on the highway.

jjm4life Apr 12, 2009 09:51 AM

judging from the car its incredible you survived.

whats the full story?

Lancerguy'03 Apr 12, 2009 09:51 AM

the wing lives.

boostedtres Apr 12, 2009 09:51 AM

wow jus saw that you were from oswego. i go to school up at ithaca. some nice back roads up there where gettin to 100 is easy, not that you should do that bc this is what can happen. glad no other cars were involved.

DJ Brett B Apr 12, 2009 09:53 AM

wow, you are lucky the tree hit the passenger side or you wouldn't be around right now probably

stikllr13 Apr 12, 2009 10:02 AM

Dude your one lucky lucky guy! Thats some incredible carnage. Be careful and be sure to know the road you are driving on before getting anywhere near 100, just my .02 cents

06MREvo Apr 12, 2009 10:05 AM

glad ur alright man...cars can be replaced but damn that thing is f*cked up...i'm glad no one was in the passenger seat...

Evo_Someday Apr 12, 2009 10:12 AM

Holy smokes that's the worst twisted up Evo wreck I've seen. Glad to see that you lived through that because it could have been a lot worse. But since you were flown out I'm assuming you're not without injury.

When you're feeling well enough you should tell the story of what exactly happened to cause the car to go off the road whileg going so fast.

Blitz Apr 12, 2009 10:15 AM

Threads like this make me feel better about the VIII/IX's rather shady side-impact crash ratings. People seem to walk away from unbelievable bad crashes in them.

Evo9tunerz Apr 12, 2009 10:18 AM

So what was your serious lesson that you learned?

Dan0805 Apr 12, 2009 10:23 AM

Thank god your still here...damn.

Lancerguy'03 Apr 12, 2009 10:30 AM

cij911 Apr 12, 2009 10:38 AM

Wow you are a very lucky individual! Sorry for your loss but glad you are ok and nobody was hurt.

Looks like a back country road to me, and no we shouldn't ease up on this guy. Because of crap like this my insurance is outrageous, and cops give me crap all the time. I seriously hope he never gets behind the wheel of a car again.

o-townFLA Apr 12, 2009 10:45 AM

good thing you were the only person in the car, because you could have easily killed the passenger from the looks of it...

Happy Easter...!

SLO-EVO Apr 12, 2009 10:45 AM

well its good to know youre well enough to even type...

Blitz Apr 12, 2009 10:50 AM

I guess by "walk away" I meant "be in a good enough condition to post about it on the internet shortly thereafter" (I'm assuming) instead of having a closed casket funeral, which I'd guess was the result of a crash like this.

wilson1 Apr 12, 2009 10:51 AM

wow, hope the driver is well.

BostonEvo Apr 12, 2009 10:58 AM

wow... that car is a crazy mess.

turbodreamz21 Apr 12, 2009 11:01 AM

wow man glad to see your ok tho and UR ALIVE. WHO cares about the car hope you learned something from this.

gdup Apr 12, 2009 11:07 AM

glad to see ur okay. THa is the worst wrecked evo i ever seen.

fugiwara Apr 12, 2009 11:08 AM

Turbodreamz, how old are you?

MrMeaner Apr 12, 2009 11:16 AM

Glad you're ok. Too bad this was the only way for you to learn this very basic and obvious life lesson.

But on a different note. This is why the rest of Evo community has to pay higher insurance premiums. Yes, yes, we're ALL glad you're ok. But because you're ok I don't feel bad when I say GROW THE EFF UP.

PineappleMonkey Apr 12, 2009 11:21 AM

Holy wow, that's a substantial impact. I'm glad you're ok...hopefully a lesson was learned as well.

berns15 Apr 12, 2009 11:27 AM

My heads a little swollen and i got 8 stitches above my eye other than that im just sore

sovain Apr 12, 2009 11:27 AM

596736 Apr 12, 2009 11:48 AM

Glad your ok. Play the lottery asap

colonelfox Apr 12, 2009 11:51 AM

Come on lighten up. He knows he screwed up, I'm sure. Not many people have a near death experience like that and don't learn a valuable lesson. God knows I drove like a tool when I got my first quick car. Glad to hear you and anyone who was around you at the time are OK.

projectevo9 Apr 12, 2009 11:57 AM

that's crazy. Thank god you didn't have a passenger. Hey you get to keep your wing!

ak47po Apr 12, 2009 11:58 AM

I wonder if it's been totaled the insurance company?

ChanseEvo8 Apr 12, 2009 12:02 PM

AviKM Apr 12, 2009 12:59 PM

Blue_CobaltSS Apr 12, 2009 02:07 PM

sorry to hear.

sprx19 Apr 12, 2009 02:41 PM

My 06 mr is 830 a year to insure. I didn't that was too bad. Cheaper than my 04 Cobra. Hard to believe an 08 ZO6 is cheaper than both.

tonykart125 Apr 12, 2009 02:46 PM

I tell you the pic of you stuck in the tree if I saw that driving down the road I would assume you were dead.

Glad to hear you are not!

Heal quickly.

Domolution Apr 12, 2009 02:48 PM

WOW!!! I am very surprised that you lived.....i didn't even wanna read the little paragraph you wrote....went straight to pictures and amazed you live after all that rumble!!! Well mang, hope you get better soon, get a new ride maybe, and be back up on your feet. :)

And that wing, lol.....survived, HELL YEAH!!!!! Weehee!!!

evoracingstar Apr 12, 2009 02:49 PM

glad your safe. looking at that car it looks like u shouldnt be alive your lucky! but this is why our insurance is sky rocket on these cars.

InitialE Apr 12, 2009 02:53 PM

Why, are you looking for a new wing? jk

Glad to hear you made it out in one piece man, that looks like a pretty nasty wreck.

evoone Apr 12, 2009 05:42 PM

alright ur ok... r u buying ur wreck from insurance co.? i need a longblock.

sonicnofadz Apr 12, 2009 05:48 PM

Lol I think its hilarious how some Evo owners are like, "holy crap! 100 mph! omg!". 100 mph ain't ****. True enthusiasts drive fast, and not just on a ****ing track. Are you really surprised? Honestly now. Some kid speeding and wrecking a 300hp+ super cheap sports car? Some people are skilled and don't wreck and some are not that skilled and this is what happens. No one should be surprised. Yes our insurance rates are horrible, and will continue to go up, but unfortunately thats what happens when this kind of power is available to any 16 year old working at Wal-Mart. If you are worried about high insurance rates, maybe you should drive a more exclusive car, or simply focus on earning a higher income.

westchester evo Apr 12, 2009 05:58 PM

No wonder insurance is so much on these cars

8u Apr 12, 2009 06:03 PM

OMG I can't believe no one died from that. Your lucky mang.

mirebih Apr 12, 2009 06:07 PM

thats insane.. glad you walked out off it

alianum777 Apr 12, 2009 06:26 PM

very glad to see you are ok, compared to the wreck, def more details and learn your lesson and count your blessings... that has to be the worst evo wreck I have ever seen.

Q15H Apr 12, 2009 06:31 PM

... to any 16 year old working at Wal-Mart.
All the employees at Walmarts around here are 60+ and most of them drive Buicks or minivans.

OP - Sigh for the car. Good to hear you escaped with your life.

boosted2x2 Apr 12, 2009 06:37 PM

my friend i hope the first thing you did when you left the hospital was go to a church. {thumbup} for the evo protecting it's owner in a crash like that

Cal City Evo Apr 12, 2009 06:43 PM

Funny thing if you want to call it that, at least my policy doesn't cover negligence on the drivers part. Full coverage or not.

Way I see it he owns a totaled Evo and SHOULD be made if it's not paid off to do so. There are (or should be) lessons for stupidity and maybe if this was applied like this more people would think twice before doing something stupid like this.

kanyonkid Apr 12, 2009 06:49 PM

a big capital +1
