fq400 project
 
hi

i have recently joined this forum since i have bought an evo 8 mr fq320 not mentioning this is a good forum with good people{thumbup}.well now i want to turn my evo in to a fq400 meaning tuning up the engine.so all iwould like to now is what parts would i need from a fq400 to put into my evo 8 and replacing.i need a list so then i can order the parts and start working on it. if pictures are needed i will post them up but tell me how.

If you really want to build a true fq400 it will be costly... if you are after fq400 numbers i would imagine there are much cheaper ways to obtain them... at least for the newer generation it seems that the X fq400 seems to have done a lot of expensive power upgrades... but then I guess it wouldn't be an fq... good luck... and keep us posted on teh conversion with updates and pics

Yea, screw that, get some aftermarket parts and go faster for less.

Walbro fuel pump, 880-1000cc injectors, Turbo Back Exhaust, boost controller, Cams, Air Intake, better BOV, and a tune. Talk with a local tuner to see what they would recommend, but the above will get you started.
