So the fun Begins....once you go black you'll never go back
So thought id share the excitement with all of you. The following item have been ordered. This is for my best friends car, and I am the one doing all the purchasing "with his money of course" and its very nice when he tells me "Money is NO object, here is my card....order away." This is all not for nothing, since I will be his 1/4 Driver. Car will get tuned by GST

Ive been impressed with my stage 2 spec clutch so i want to see how long this stage 3 can hold the black ;)
|
If "Money is not object" and its not a DD street car why are you going with a Single disc? Also, if you're going big boost might as well go with a 4" intercooler. 1000cc injectors would be ok for race/pump gas. If you want E85 get ID2000's or equivalent.
Megan Coilovers? Ick. |
That term is for a girl so i assume you are one...
BTW Good mods |
Might want to consider a better clutch and suspension.
What are you going to use to tune the vehicle? Plan on doing an E85 tune? deff going to need atleast 1500CC injectors for that. Possibly a dual walbro 255 setup or an external pump. Other then that, it should be beastly! |
I assume by track driver, you mean roadcourse. If you mean drag strip, ignore the below.
Megan are a good choice if you are looking to only spend a $1000 for coilovers but if you want to go fast on a road course suspension, tires and brakes are the key. Figure for somewhat decent coilovers the budget would be $2000 (either a cheaper double adjustable or a good single adjustable). You should also budget for sway bars and bushings. As far as brakes, the stock brembo's should be fine but make sure you get a good track pad and good fluid. Also, some brake ducting would help. Plenty of decent choices for tires so you shouldn't have a problem there. You may already be planning most or all of this but thought I would mention just in case. Either way, sounds like a good build and a good buddy {thumbup} |

If so then I think you should focus more on a quicker spooling turbo since the black isnt exactly the best for autox IMO and better suspension set up if $ is no problamo What brand injectors, intercooler, and clutch are you going to be running? |

Trying to establish where we are for power and work around that for now. |
If you are going for a drag car, why go for a stock frame turbo? I'd go bigger if its going to be a drag car...and if its drag only- I'd look at a destroked motor or built 2L and a HUGE turbo to take advantage of the increased rev range.
|
If this is for a drag set up go with D2 coil set up from AWD Motorsports, do some research on it and you will see they have proven results.
