thanks

whatever you do end up getting, make sure you get it tuned afterwards. thats gonna give you the best chance. i would say grab some cams. but im not real sure. i went straight to the full build. not sure about one thing at a time. lol

fabcas311 Oct 15, 2010 03:33 PM

i just need some list of bolt ons to help me beat my buddy's s2k!....of course i iwll get a tune once i get all the parts!lol

Pal215 Oct 15, 2010 03:40 PM

hmm well the s2k weighs in at about 2,864lbs while the evo weighs 3,285lbs. You will need to make more power than him to get the same time, if hes not losing traction on the launch too much. You have the upper hand in traction. With full bolt-ons you should be able to beat his time.

-intake, turbo back, mani, intercooler, intercooler piping, fuel pump, boost controller, good tune etc.

Cosworth M2 cams,
FIC 1050cc injectors
FMIC
and a tune on E85 {thumbup}
you'll take him for sure.

you an evo 8 or 9?
3" down pipe, cams 272(kelfords,cosworth etc..),headstuds if boosting over stock boost, manual boostcontroller, injectors 1250cc and run e85 and a tune

TK40 Oct 15, 2010 03:46 PM

Why would you suggest m2s? Go for gsc s2 or kelfords if you really want to do cams.

:o, Well the Cosworth m2's are one in the same as the Kelford 272's (do your research)
and the GSC S2's are great cams but are really too big for a legitimately stock turbo. although great for BBK, and FP turbos.

head studs are a good idea while you have the valve cover off.
and 1050cc injectors will fill all your fuel needs on a stock turbo

im running 30-31psi with my ported ix turbo setup on e85 and my IDC's are still in a vary safe range.

fabcas311 Oct 15, 2010 03:55 PM

i have an evo 8..........thanks guys!

fabcas311 Oct 15, 2010 03:58 PM

but the prob is the nearest e85 station is like 200 miles away!so my best bet would be on pump gas.....I dont want to do water/meth inj either.

Intake
Exhaust
Fuel Pump
Boost controller
UICP / LICP
Intercooler
Mellon Tune
Driver mod.

You should walk all over him.

Cloudx71 Oct 15, 2010 04:22 PM

I would say a tune with some basic bolt ons. Depends on how good of a driver you are though. Good luck

There are tons of threads like this....When you say 12s to you mean 12.90s or 12.00s???

If you already have tbe, exhaust manifold & intake....

I suggest LICP, MBC @ 23-25 psi & a good tune...

I ran 12.00 with my completely stock motor, stock turbo, 93 oct. 6 spd evo IX....

GTABurnout Oct 15, 2010 04:29 PM

25psi stock turbo, GSC1 Cams, TBE, Intercooler pipes, E85 Tune. I run 12.3 at 115 in bad air so that will cover you.
