Stock cams?

I just took my car to replace head gasket does anyone know if these are stock cams or aftermarket?
They have stuff saying k 6 and 6b24
I will post pic later

If they are stock there will be holes that have been drilled into the camshafts. Aftermarket ones will be solid.

evoboy2012 Feb 26, 2012 08:33 AM

Oh these have holes in the cams...

What all do i need to do to install hks or gcs? Any timing or anything like that??

silver9mr Feb 26, 2012 09:05 AM

it depends on what size cams you want to put in. if your going with a 264 or the gsc S1's then you will be ok with just putting the cams in without anything else if your on a budget. If you want a 272 then its smart to upgrade the springs retainers and seats. and might as well replace the timing belt while at it

and yeah iam replacing the timing belt and head gasket too and all those belts around there.... what are best ones that dont need to retainers replace? i want to buy some..

Ok so i just took the head off and the head gasket is blowen on the side... The block or the head dont look like it is damaged. Do i need to do anything else to the head?

Straight edge the block and head. Check clearances or it will happen again.

I did, but i saw that gsc 1-2-3 have holes in them. so does this one... is it stock or not?

Stock hollow cams (They are NOT DRILLED, jeez). You should get your head/block machined, but at the very least have it checked.
