Horn doesn't work
Key fob makes the horn go off, but actually hitting the horn on the steering wheel and nothing...
I have checked all the fuses I could think of and have had the steering wheel all apart to replace the whole assembly and still nothing... Any one on here have any other ideas? |
Check the wiring properly..may have high resistance or an open circuit maybe the switch in the steering wheel is defective.
|
But before u do that test the fusable link.

behind the steering wheel or the actual button part? |
is the relay clicking when you push the horn? My horns died and someone ghetto rigged them with like literally 3 other horns before I bought the car, people are idiots....
|
check fuse, if good, check to see if you have pwer at relay when pressing horn button, if not it could be the clock spring behind the steering wheel.
|
you can also check to see if you have power at the horn itself when pressing horn button 1st, it could be a bad horn.
|
great ideas!!, the next time I have help I'll have to give them a try... maybe tomorrow if the flooding stops up here.

+1 darpursel

well I was doing a bit more digging about clock springs and think that may be my problem....
SRS light is on, horn doesn't work, blinkers don't stop if wheel is turned, brights don't stay on if clicked. |
anyone know where I can order a new Clock spring? I have no dealers in a 150 mile radius.
