Fuel injector o-ring.. is this correct?
I recently replaced the orings on my fuel injectors because they were leaking. The new orings are also leaking slightly and i am not sure why. I could not get the oring to stay on the fuel injector, so i seated the orings into the intake manifold. Then I bolted down the fuel rail with the injectors into the orings. Is this correct. Or should the oring be able to fit around the lip on the fuel injector. here is a pic of how it currently sits, leaking slightly. also i did coat the orings in oil before i installed them.

Did you tq down the fuel rail to proper spec? Do you have the correct o rings for the injectors you have? Those are the questions your gonna have to ask being it sounds like one of those is prob the problem. If you need the proper tq lmk I can get it for you.

Also mine have leaked in the past , but a simple little turn of the injectors one way or the other and they "seated" completely after that. tested up to 35psi no leaks.

they are the correct orings an they are torqued down to spec. ill try giving them a turn and see if they seal up. I was just wondering if the orings are supposed to fit around that lip on the fuel injector because i could not get it to.. that is why i put the orings in the manifold and bolted the rail with injectors down into the orings.. is that the correct way?
