Battery relocated to trunk, now won't turn over
2 Attachment(s)
Alright guys I installed the Taylor Battery Relocation Kits 48103 to the trunk.(http://www.summitracing.com/parts/TA...n/?prefilter=1)
But when I tried to start my car it wouldn't turn over? I'm getting power - lights, door lock, windows etc etc. But it's really bipolar, I tried starting it a couple more times and after the 4th attempt it started. Next day same thing. I've tried grounding it in a couple different places as shown in the pics, it's 1-gauge wire, and my battery's cold cranking amperage is 600 and 750 normal temp. I haven't tested how much juice it has left but I'm pretty sure that's not the problem. Any ideas? |

Crimmped

it's the heavy duty screw on ones
|
i would say to solder the starter wire. crimmping on large/Long gauge wire is not good.

Run 2 Ground wires :o
And dont piggy back them, Go right from the terminal for each of them. |
Run 2 wires off the grounding terminal of the battery to 2 separate points in the trunk?
|
I just checked my battery voltage and it's 12.58 volts. That should be enough to start the car right? And where are some of the other places people have grounded the battery in the trunk?
|
Yes, that should be enough. You should sand the paint off your ground points. Proper grounding is very important.
|
I did that in 2 different places. And I did two seperate grounds to the battery and it still wont start?
|
did you try 2 grouding points off of one battery terminal?
you should have someone theck the battery voltage when your cranking it to see what you get. |

That's funny you say that cause a couple hours ago I thought of that and switched it around but it still wont turn over? :-(
