Turbo manifold to turbo washers
I just removed my turbo to send for rebuild and noticed the oem washers weren’t used. It had a single ARP washer under each nut and bolt. The turbo never came loose since I’ve owned the car 14k miles but wondering if anyone else has not used them or if there’s an alternative to them since it seems they’re $7 a washer. Setup is a OG green and FP manifold.

I just use a basic stud kit with egged copper nuts

Are you using (4) studs or (4) bolts? |
Originally I had ARP hardware that corroded over the last 5 years. I now have the MAPerformance turbo stud kit which is 4 studs and 4 nuts but the nuts are the ones with the “washer” , not just a regular nut.

I can get away using a reg washer and serrated flange nuts?

You can use studs and serrated flanged nuts without washers.

Thank you.
