Service Engine Soon light came on last night.

I was on the freeway probably at about 70 mph when the light came on. My car has 4350 miles and the only thing i have done to it is a GReddy TT. Last oil change was around 3100 miles and the oil level looks fine. I also checked the gas filler cap and it was on securely. The car doesn't drive any differently. I will probably take it to a dealership tomorrow.

Do you guys think Mitsu will give me slack for the TT when I take it in? A friend of mine was advising me to remove it before taking it to the dealers. What do you guys suggest?

Sounds like a possible P300 problem....

My guess too since those were the same conditions mine popped up on. Although I actually did have a fouled plug but the dealer replaced it for free.

A turbo timer will not effect your warranty. At least it hasnt mine, and the service manager at my dealer swears its okay. If your still not sure call the dealer and ask if a turbo timer will void your warranty before you bring in the car. Now a boost controler would be a different story.....

I had mine CEL go on the other night in similar circumstances. I took it to Autozone and it was PO420, ineffecient catalyst, etc. and they cleared it (very impressed they do all that at no charge). Of course, I have a turboback exhaust from Buschur with the bung to prevent the CEL, hopefully it stays away!

If they give you any **** about the TT, tell them that it is a safety precaution to prolong the life of your turbo and avoid any warranty issues. That will get their attention...key words- "avoid any warranty issues"

Sounds like a possible P0300. :(

When I bought my car the sales people recommended a TT as a first mod.
I am still surprised :mitsu: doesn't offer one as a dealer option.

This is the most comprehensive thread on the PO300 issue.

There are others though, do a search on "po300 / po 300 / misfire / missfire". I had the reflash done on my car and it had not thrown the code since (two months). Good luck to you.

my guess its probably ur Dynoflash.

J/k - I have a CEL from no Cat.

or just remove the ground battery cable and see if that clears it for you
