i would like to see pics on how the side pieces come off and what happened with the rivets on the bottom. did they rip out of the cf
or what, i dont wanna just start pulling on rivets. mabee i can drill out those four little rivets on the bottom and then put new ones in when finished. clear coat would work alot better if side pices are off so i wanna disassemble.

I also have attempted this project. It does look great and it is fairly easy. Something that makes it easier, is to take the whole wing apart. Took me half the time. I just happend to have the wing in the garage and some how by shutting the garage door it fell over and ooops...it looked like the side piece had popped loose at the top. So I figured, I would just have to re-adhere it back on no biggy. As I sat there and sanded, getting pissed trying to get into the corners and cracks I thought. This would be so much damn easier if it all came apart. Remember what the originator said that it was rivited together, I decided to check it out since it was loose. Low and behold upon further inspection, the wing is velcro at the top. If you sit there and pull on it, it will unvelcro and pop loose. So I continued to pull and look and there are 4 rivets on the very bottom of your wing that hold it on at the bottom. Refer to the pics provided to this thread and you will see. Very carefully I rocked it back and forth until it just came off all together. Upon this happening, sanding took no more than an hour on both sides. I recleared the wing and back on in a couple days, I had to wait for the ****ty weather to break. So the three rivets on the inside of the wing do not!!! fasten to the side pieces. The side pieces slide over the sides of the wing. The 3 rivets on the inside of the wing actually hold onto another piece of CF that the side pieces of the wing slides over. Then the sides velcro onto that. I just re-appoxied where the rives are at the base of the wing, if you flip it over and look at the bottom pieces that attatch to your trunk you will see the 4 rivets. I dont have a digi cam or i could show you guys but it made life sooo much easier. I cant believe they used velcro!
