do the evo's run efficently with no muffler or cat? im not worried about emmissions and want the most hp out of an exhaust.

 

i have heard that straight pipe will give you about 15 hp, but will be loud as hell. i have thought about running catless, but not without a muffler. seems it would make it undrivable for those runs to grocery store.

 

Less restriction = more HP on a turbo motor

 

So the question becomes "Is 15 hp worth a noise violation ticket and/or pissing off your neighbors?"

I say run a legit "bolt-on" exhaust that conforms to db laws and regulations and find the 15hp somewhere else.

 

i didnt get the anwser i want cause i wasnt that specific but.....can u run straight pipe from the turbo back and still be make hp gains or do you need at least some back pressure?
