Front sway bar , Removing .

Front sway bar , Removing .

I have the factory service book and it says to lower the front cross member to get the front sway bar out , every thing is lose ,I just doint want too lower the cross member , It seems like a lot of extra work to get it out . Has any body plued their front sway bar .

On my Evo4-6 Assembly you have to drop the crossmember to access the sway bar...there are some differences between evo4-6 and 7-8 but i'm sure its similar....You'll need to dismount the Steering Rack ( 2 upper and 2 lower bolts) and any bracketry assosiated, you'll also need to remove both lower tranny mounts and the crossmember spanning from the radiator support to the crossmember...then you'll need to most likly dismount the lower control arms and any other bolts on the underside that run through the subframe...someone with an illistration could help you out more as far as which bolts run into the subframe from underneath...

again this is what i had to do on my E4-6 stuff...

I did have too drop the front crossmember But not all the way , All i can say It was a choir .
