How to Paint FMIC

I used (Low Gloss Black # DE1634 from "Dupli-Color Engine Enamel")
Step 1. Remove front bumper off.

Step 2. Mask off what you don't want paint to get on.

Step 3.Wash bugs and rocks out with a soft toothbrush. Bend fin's straight.
Add first LIGHT coat.

be sure to get the sides too.

Step 4. and TWO more LIGHT coats.
Step 5. Put front bumper back on.

Step 6. become a sleeper.

PM me for any more Questions. thank-you

I think it looks good, i've been thinking about it because I plan on blacking everything out. Going to order some black FN01R-C's soon Also does your headlight have a leak in it? Looks like theres condinsation in there.

Why didn't you just take it off and paint it? You were already there and could of had it out in 10min and then you wouldn't have to worry about covering anything up. It looks good though, most people who will try and race you know you have a fmic already.

why didn't you just take the front mount off the car doesn't make any sense to paint it while it's on the car.plus you didn't even tape off the hose to the intercooler lazy *** ****

I also would have removed the intercooler to paint it. I did the black out treatment to my Front Mount Intercooler on my Talon Tsi. Looked like a real sleeper. It doesn't look bad on the Evo.
