So here's a brief description... Bought my evo from a friend of a friend, said he had Apexi turbo timer. yep sure enough there it was. everything was fine and dandy until i noticed that the auto feature doesn't count up like it is supposed to. So I tear into the dash to figure out what is going on (after reading the directions to make sure I wasn't just being retarded). What I found was the wires had been spliced into the ignition wires . Why he didn't just get a harness is beyond me but whatever... So do i try and rewire the wires, cause i'm not sure if they are correct or do I just say screw it and buy a harness, cut the wires (from the TT) and re-wire them back into the harness and connect it that way?

Way it is now from TT to ignition wires:
Black to ground
Green to Black w/white stipe
Red to White
Blue to Blue w/blue stipe
Whit and gray are not connected

I done a lot of research for this and can't find descriptions of what the actual wires on the TT do so I just need a little help deciding if its worth doing myself or if i should just get the harness?
