Put the stock pump back on to see if it's a pump issue or flash issue...

Do you reuse the white donut shape washer at the pump outlet and the black rubber washer at the bottom of the pump?

Without those, you will have the problems for sure.

Just a thought check to make sure your pump is getting power maybe the fuse for the pump blew when installing the stock one back in its worth a shot.

Probably not the flash... make sure that all connections on the pump are good and that the sending unit gasket is on and good.. When you disconnected it did you pull a pump relay? you should have to get all the fuel outta the line by turning the key a few times... make sure the pump fuse is good.. check em out.. you may gave blown something..

I put the walbro back in now and i know its getting power because i do get the car to start and idle correctly. I can also hear the pump whinning.. its misfiring...and not responding to throtle inputs. I can slowly bring the revs all the way to 5 or 6 (i dont really like running the car now for obv reasons) i hear tons of misfires and if i press too quick on the throtle it misfires like crazy and just dies right down until i get off the gas!

r there any tests i can run to help narrow down the problem? i really dont want to bring it to the dealership with the ECU flashed and the new fp and be like well i dont know whats wrong? I dont think that will be covered under warranty

I think its a tuning problem, you said if you put the stock one in it runs fine right? so warranty deffinately couldnt help you out.
