Go to www.japanparts.com and for 35 dollars you can buy the Part # 180-013-002 CT9A 64001 REINFORCEMENT REAR BUMPER. I wish I new how big of a pita the reinforcement beam was before I put the bumper on. That part turn a hour job in a 3 hour job for me. I suggest buying the part before you put the bumper on, it will save you a ton of time. Plus I hate rivets.

They have an aftermarket one you can buy, but as for moding it sorry nothing yet. If you mod your crashbeam you'll weaken it anyways. Kinda pointless in my opinion. Best bet is to get the aftermarket one.

Any word on this? My IX rear should be shipping soon and I don't want to drive around without a crash beam.

Is this the JDM crash beam or bumper retainer?

In the picture, it really doesn't specify. I would imagine it's just the retainer. Could somebody please post a picture of the the above mentioned item for reference please?

if you search on here you'll see it only refers to a retainer. there is no such thing as a jdm crash beam.

I bought this crash bar from a member here. His name is carguy1948. I didn't want to have nothing back here so this was a nice alternative.

These pics arent my car, these are pics he posted in his thread.

I'm in the process of installnig it and the new bumper, and this piece is really nice. There are brackets for the lights and the licence plate.
