Question Evo Cruise Control

Since the EVO's (for whatever reason) don't offer cruise control, has anybody tried installing any aftermarket kits such as:

Cruise Control Kits at JC Whitney

Any thoughts on this?

I take it you have never driven an Evo? Once you have you won't want or need cruise control. If you need cruise control your missing the point of the Evo.

I am 16 and love to drive stick shift. This car is pretty much my life. I don't even eat lunch because I save for mods. Neways, well I personally don't need cruise control because like I said I love shifting the gears. Whenever I am on the highway I always have to get caught up in traffic because I live near Chicago. If I ever do need cruise control then ill use that kit.

I have a modified Talon that runs mid 12's and drive to the DSM shootout every year and the cruise control makes the 8+ hour trip much easier!!!

I assumed you don't really understand how cruise control work. You still have to to shift even you're using the cruise control, but if your car is auto, just "Resume" it and obviously it will shift for you.

Oh no problem.

Btw, you're lucky to own an Evo at that age. Don't street race with her.

Cruise control is nice on the open hwy. Used to have it on my previous car.
It was great for fuel efficiency, by letting the computer take over.

The only drawback for me was getting sleepy with the cruise control turned on.

Is it bad for the turbo if you're using cuise control and all of sudden you cancel it? I've been using c.c on freeway, but I don't know if I should still use it.

It can also help keep you out of trouble since you can set it and don't have to worry about getting too heavy with the right foot during highway travel!
