I just put PF97 Race Pads on my 03 EVO without the shims. The two metal pieces on each of the original pads were messed up and not in a condition to re-use. I use this EVO for road racing only so I dont mind brake noise but my question is >

Does anyone know of anything bad that can happen as a result of no shims whatsoever? I'm pretty sure its all good but I just wanted a second or third, etc opinion to validate my decision to do so...
