B&M shortthrow non-adjustable

I just installed a B&M short throw non-adjustable model: 45100. The problem I have I can't go into reverse and 5th. Need help, I followed the directions and looked everything over.

did you put in stiffer bushings? If so, they might be installed upside-down. This can lead to the problem you are describing.
