How do you make custom panels?

If there is anything that this forum has taught me it’s to at least try to do it yourself. Not only does it save you money, but you learn how to do something. This brings me to my situation and question. I am planning on getting Sirius within the next week or so. Thanks to the teachings of this forum I’m planning on installing it myself. It is not the actual installation that I am worried about it’s just that I don’t want the receiver suction-cupped to my dash. So I was thinking about making a sort of receiver pod that it can clip in to that, in theory, will look semi-stock.

So seeing as I have never really done anything like this b4, I’m asking all of those that make their own panels and such. What do you use to make these panels? I have read about fiberglass, but what are the other options? Also does anyone know of any walkthroughs showing how to work with the “preferred medium?”

Ok…I think that’s enough for my long winded request for help. I hope it wasn’t too confusing. Thanks Again.
