With all this work to make all the gauges the same color... why have a headunit that doesn't match at all?

...or is that next on the color conversion check list?...

i did this one too, once you get the center console apart you just have to pop out and disconnect the switch. once it's out there's like two tabs you have to push out slowly. just like the other kinds you have to be gentle or else they'll break. once inside apply the color then, voila, you have your amber...

my bulb went out on this switch, so i advise everyone to do this at your own risk. the bulb isn't like the ones that you can easily switch out. the bulb sits on the little boarch itself and has like two electrical parts to it. sucks for me. but i'mma see if i can find a replacement bulb somehow. i just hope i don't have to find another switch!

Just finished doin this...looks decent, I'm just going to add a little more red to my taste. The console takes little time to get apart. Like 6 screws and thats it. Thanks!

If I wanted everything blue instead of red, would it work If I painted all bulbs blue? I will have a AIM dash soon so want to match that color.

could you be a little more specific on where the copper retaining clip needs to go on the fog button assembly.

i attempted to do this mod to my ACD button (which should be the same) and now when I push the ACD button it only remains on tarmac mode. I think I have the copper clip is in the wrong place.

any help would be appreciated.

You do realize that you could get results 100X nice just going with LEDs right? Its super easy to do, and SMD leds are actually smaller than the stock bulb. You only need to measure the voltage at the output and chose the correct resistance for the LED based on ohms law.

Great write up everything worked great, except now my dash dimmer, ash tray, and cigarette
lighter light wont come on. Anyone run into a similar issue and know how to fix it? The fuses
are fine and the dimmer still dims the dashboard and the cigarette litter still heats up, just no lights.
