Carbon overlay install for Front Mitsubishi Emblem
Carbon overlay install for Front Mitsubishi Emblem
So easy to do, doesnt need a how-to, but I will do a quick write-up:
1) Buy sheets of carbon fiber and cut emblems to size
2) Buy some 3M emblem tape (very thin, used by factory) - available at NAPA
- You can also use 3M adhesive, but its messy. Upto you!
3) The tape is double-sided. Flip diamond overlay over, apply tape and cut with box cutter or something sharp, just below the edge as emblem tape "smooshes" a little when pressed.
4) Confirm overlay is centered and attach, once it sticks on, removing is hard. So, do it once, do it right!
5) Repeat for other 2 diamond overlays.
6) Use blue masking tape and attach over all 3 emblems. Use a good roller or something wide and push on each overlay so it adheres properly.
7) Leave masking tape on for 15 mins and then remove.

I have a question. Is the sheet of carbon fiber kinda hard to bend?
I got carbon fiber emblem but it's pretty tough to bend. i got carpet tape which is a strong double sided tape but center piece does not stick very good.
