how do you get to wastegate/adjust?
how do you get to wastegate/adjust?
how do you get to the wastegate and adjust them?
I know where it's located but a step by step would be really helpful.
Thanks in advance.

HMMM there is a jamnut to hold the turnbuckle tight, that turnbuckle connects the wastegate rod from the actuator below the turbo to the wastegate flapper arm on the turbo hotside.
This you can see if you look down between the radiator and turbo.
If you wanted to adjust it to specs, then the easiest way is to use a crows foot wrench on a 3/8 drive long extension, to loosen the jamnut. Take out the little clip that holds the turnbuckle on the wastegate flapper arm. You then take a wire hanger and wrap it tightly around the rod and pull up to take the tension off the turnbuckle and gently slide the turnbuckle off the flapper arm pin. it will spring down towards the wastegate actuator, so be prepared for it to "jump". Adjust the turnbuckle by turning it to make the rod longer or shorter, your choice.
IIRc the correct adjustment is the hole in the turnbuckle to be offset exactly 1/2 the diameter of the pin closer to the WG actuator ( ~ 1/4 inch you have to pull it back up to slide onto the pin again )
To re assemble, pull the hanger up with enough tension to be able to slide the turnbuckle back on the pin. Re install the clip and then remove the hanger, and finally tighten the jamnut using the crows foot wrench. Stock WGA runs 8-11 psi holding before opening.
Hope this helps
