crank angle sensor

So I searched and came up with a bunch of people talking about it but nothing on how to replace it. Can anyone help?

Remove the assesory belt
Remove your passenger side motor mount and let that side of the motor go down.
I'm pretty sure you will need to take off the power steering pump so you can get the sensor wire out.
Remove all nessesary assesory pulleys so you can take off the side plastic cover
Now you can see the crank angle sensor
All you should need to do now is turn the crank pulley around so you can remove the 2 10mm screws out of the sensor.
After you replace it and put the side cover and pullies back on then you will need to jack the motor back up to put the engine mount back on. I used a 2X4 on a jack under the oil pan to raise it back up.

Hope that helps, its been a few months sence I've had to do it. But its not hard to do, and doesn't require any special tools.

that was pretty much what I was thinking had to be done, just hoping there might have been a trick to a quicker install

Thanks knightracer

nope that s the only way.

I would say to NOT drop the motor until the accessory pullies are off. I had troublr getting at the pully next to the alternator... water pump IIRC.
