Quote: MOSFET IRF510 will that work instead of IRF530 ...couldn't find it at the shack
Yes, actually that is what I am using anyways. I need to edit that write up a bit this weekend.

Here is the new prototype, gotta move the wires and cut the board down to size and test it in car. It bench tests fine. Just want to make sure.

yeah its that way here too. Some stuff came from the one by work and other stuff from the ones by home. the 4.7M resistor is the hardest to find without buying an assortment. You can always run some in series to come up with 4.7M.

I got the small one done in a new smaller box, pictures to come soon. I am going to test it in my car tomorrow and get some pics of the install. Then I will be ready to make a few more ready for mailing first of the week. Sorry but I got other things I HAVE to do today

Are you going to post up the schematic for the improved circuit that only uses one relay?

Hats off to you for figuring this out!

After some trial and error I found it acted funny with just one relay, so I threw the other in to seperate the circuits. I am uploading my pics of the new unit now, uses the sae schematic but smaller parts and works just fine. Will probably not get it written up till tomorrow, but just wanted to let you all know I have't been ignoring it.
